Guidelines

► You must be 18+ to participate in this fest.
► This fest is only available for writers.
► All fics submitted to this fest must be set in the 1990s and/or inspired by a song, film, tv show, aesthetic, etc. from the 1990s.
► All ships including polyamorous ships are welcome!
► 1k word count minimum. WIPs are allowed.
► Works must remain anonymous until author reveals. (TBA)
► Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
► No submissions of already published works will be accepted.
► Fest restrictions: NO reader inserts, non-con, bestiality, underage nsfw, rape, incest, pedophilia, etc. If you are unsure if something is restricted, please DM us or hit us up on retrospring!

Prompting Rules

► Prompting will run from April 5th until April 26th.
► Include WANTS and DO NOT WANTS in the description of your prompt.
► Any prompts including restricted content or without proper trigger warnings will be deleted.
► Please tag trigger warnings at the top of your prompt.
► Self-prompts will be added when prompting closes.
► No top/bottom requests.
► Maximum 5 prompt submissions per person.

Writing + Claiming Rules

► Claiming will run from April 27th - June 22nd.
► Each prompt can ONLY be claimed twice. If there are multiple claims, the prompt goes to whomever completes the claiming form first.
► Claim prompt on AO3 first and then submit the claim form. Failure to not submit the form within 24 hours will result in your claim being deleted.
► Writers will have from April 27th - July 20th to complete their fics. If you need an extension fill out the extension form!
► Maximum 2 claims per writer: one self-prompt and one regular. If you finish both of these prompts you are allowed to claim another.
► All ratings are welcome! Please be sure to properly rate your fic for content as well as appropriately tagging it. Any fics submitted without a rating OR tags will not be accepted.
► Keep the prompter's WANTS and DO NOT WANTS in mind when writing.
► If you're submitting a WIP, the first installment should be submitted by the deadline, and meet the word count requirement of 1k.
► If you need an extension OR want to drop-out that's okay! Simply DM us on Twitter (@bts90sfest) to let us know, and be sure to submit the appropriate form.
